Just 17 miles west of the Strip lies one of the most dramatic natural backdrops in the American Southwest. Red Rock's towering sandstone escarpments, desert washes, and wide open skies make it perfect for everything from car commercials to dramatic film sequences. Permits are required through the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and crew sizes are often limited to protect the environment.
2. The Neon Museum (Boneyard)
Las Vegas's Neon Museum is a graveyard of iconic signs — a visual feast that screams "Las Vegas" in a way that's completely unlike any casino floor. The rust, the history, the towering vintage signage makes it one of the most requested filming locations in the city. Yes, there are wetlands in the desert. This 110-acre urban oasis sits along the Las Vegas Wash and offers lush greenery, bird life, and tranquil water features that feel completely out of place — in the best possible way. The contrast between verdant wetlands and surrounding desert makes for visually stunning shots.
6. Allegiant Stadium
Home of the Las Vegas Raiders, Allegiant Stadium is one of the most architecturally striking venues in sports. With its striking black exterior and retractable roof, it offers a futuristic visual presence unlike any other stadium in the NFL. 7. Fremont Street & Downtown
The original Las Vegas — Fremont Street and the Downtown area — has a completely different energy to the Strip. The El Cortez, the vintage casinos, the murals, and the street life give you a rawer, more authentic Las Vegas aesthetic. The LED canopy of the Fremont Street Experience is privately owned, so any filming involving it requires specific permissions.
